The path of healing.
The path of healing is usually not just an upward trend curve. It is a winding and sometimes very painful path.
The healing curve looks something like this:

And it certainly doesn't look like this :-):

Probably only 2 people in the northern hemisphere, have experienced perhaps a quantum leap, so to speak, into healing, and they are Eckardt Tolle and Katie Byron, which I can think of right now and a number of wonderful books have come out of them.
I'm going through that journey myself and it's good to know and remind ourselves that we have our individual journey, we don't know how long we're going to be on that journey, maybe a year, maybe two, maybe ten, maybe twenty, if I'm honest, somebody may not be healed and maybe it's their choice.
Our ego is very impatient and wants it fast, fast, here and now and why isn't it there yet? So you know it's the ego in the mind speaking for you. When we can connect to our being, to our heart, we feel a totally different voice and a different story. We feel that everything is okay, just as it is. You are a beloved, just as you are, here and now, neither prettier nor better, just as you are. That doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement, but you need to remind yourself and put yourself in self-love on the path of healing. Because it's easy to fall into frustration and despair that I got there again, I did it again, why didn't I learn anything?
And is that actually the truth? Have you really moved anywhere? Have you really not created any new realisations, any new shifts, not even a little bit? When I questioned myself if this was really the case, I found that it wasn't, not at all, that there were changes and advancements happening in me, small but sure changes and advancements, whether it was in more patience, or less anger, more love in certain situations, etc.
There will be many more paths to navigate through, but persevere and fight, because in the end you may find that the journey itself is actually beautiful and it is the real thing....
